Accommodations for Students’ Guests
On-campus guest accommodations are available at the Archabbey Guest House and Retreat Center. For room reservations, call (812) 357-6585.

Campus Bookstore
The Scholar Shop is located on the ground floor of Newman Hall. Students will find academic and religious books, supplies and a variety of Saint Meinrad items here. Textbooks will be available for advance reading requirements. Purchases can be made in-store or online by cash, check, traveler’s check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover.

Lay Student Lounge
Located in Anselm Hall A249, the Lay Student Lounge features a television and DVD player, lockable storage, a refrigerator and microwave, and study spaces and comfortable seating for groups or individuals. It is open at all times.

Computer/Network Access
Upon submission of a signed Information Technology Policy form, all students can access the Saint Meinrad network, the online course management system and an e-mail account. Forms are available through the Office of Theology Administration or the Office of Informational and Instructional Technology.

Public computer terminals and printers are available in the lay student computer lab, located on the first floor of Anselm Hall, A135, and in the Archabbey Library. Students may use their own laptop computers to connect directly to the Internet and the Saint Meinrad network from their guest room. All public terminals use the Microsoft Windows operating platform.

Other Services
These additional services are available to students: tailor and shoe repair, barber, video library, picture framing, mail services and the Abbey Press Gift Shop, which offers student discounts on gift items.

All lay students are welcome at School banquets and other functions; full-time students may attend without charge, and part-time students may contact the Food Services Director for billing.

Health Insurance
The School of Theology strongly urges students to carry adequate health insurance. The School offers the opportunity to purchase basic and supplemental health insurance plans. For more information, contact the Business Office.

Student Health Service
The Saint Meinrad Health Service provides professional care to students for a modest fee. Several local hospitals provide hospitalization for specialized care, serious illness or injury. Click here to e-mail questions about services and fees.

Student Recreation and Athletics
Saint Meinrad highly recommends and encourages students to balance their lives with leisure and exercise. Saint Meinrad’s wellness director and student volunteers oversee intramural sports programs. A gymnasium provides areas for basketball and volleyball, weightlifting and exercise equipment.

Outdoor facilities include tennis and racquetball courts, lakes for fishing, and paths and rural roads for walking, running and biking. National and state parks for hiking, swimming and camping are nearby.

Concerts, performances and lectures are scheduled throughout the year at Saint Meinrad. The UnStable, a student-operated pub on campus, provides a place for students and guests to relax and enjoy camaraderie during fall and spring semesters. Students who present a student identification card receive discounted prices at the UnStable.

Counseling Services
Psychological counseling services are available to full-time lay degree students who request them.
