Pilgrimages
As the months of May and October are especially devoted to the Blessed Mother,
pilgrimages to Monte Cassino Shrine are held each Sunday during those months.
The pilgrimage begins with an opening hymn and a short sermon, followed by a
rosary procession. The service, about an hour long, ends with the Litany of the
Blessed Virgin and a hymn.
Pilgrimages start at 2 p.m. Central Time. The shrine is located in St. Meinrad, IN,
one mile east of Saint Meinrad Archabbey along Indiana 62.
Speakers and topics for the May pilgrimages are: May 6 — Br. Thomas Frassler, OSB “Einsiedeln: Life at a Marian Shrine”
May 13 — Fr. Harry Hagan, OSB “Madonna and Child: Imagining the Mother of God”
May 20 — Fr. Cyprian Davis, OSB “Who is Mary?”
May 27 — Nov. Anushka Fonseka, OSB “Mary: A Perfect Response to God's Invitation”
