Creating a Vocation Culture
"Today, as in all ages, there is no lack of generous souls ready to give up
everyone and everything to embrace Christ and His Gospel, consecrating their
existence to His service within communities characterized by enthusiasm,
generosity and joy."
- Pope Benedict XVI, February 17, 2008
The call to seek God and serve the Church ultimately comes from God and it is an
invitation to enter more fully into the life of God. This call is experienced in
a variety of ways: through personal prayer, by way of involvement in the life of
the Church, and through the People of God. As Catholics we are all called to
pray for vocations, personally invite others to consider ordained or consecrated
life in the Church and to promote and support creating a vocation culture where
God’s voice can be heard.
Saint Meinrad seeks to foster and encourage a vocation culture for ordained and
consecrated life in the Church today. Below are links to the various resources.
